The aim of this programme is to train and develop unemployed learners through offering them a Learnership opportunity that will ensure that they receive a nationally recognized qualification. Research indicates that the global economy is changing drastically due to the fact that technology is driving business. This learnership opportunity is for you, if you want to pursue a successful career in Information Technology Systems Support.
Programme Objectives:
- Successfully complete the learnership training contracts
- Attend the required training interventions and successfully complete the competency assessment
- Submit a portfolio of evidence
- Placements in work environment that supports the outcomes of the qualification
- Learners will receive a stipend for the duration of the 12-months programme
Job Requirements
Entry Requirements:
1. Applicants must ensure the following:
- Be a South African Citizen
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35
- Be able to speak, read and write English
- Have completed a Matric or post qualifications at N1F Level 4, in the related field
- Be computer literate
- Not be permanently employed
- Not be studying at any other institution
- Not be registered on any other learnerships
2. Preference will be given to individuals that:
- Meet the Company’s EE Targets as set out in our employment equity plan
- Meet the furthermore of the National agenda for the development of unemployed youth
Minimum Requirements: Work Experience
- 2 years relevant experience within an IT Support environment, of which:
- 1 year experience within a networking support, software and hardware support environment
- 1 year experience within a call centre or service desk environment (Advantageous)
- 3 years experience supporting the following technologies:
- Microsoft Operating Systems (os) e.g. Windows, Widows 7, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Procts, PowerPoint, etc,.
Minimum Requirements: Education
- The latest Microsoft MCSE qualification
- Must be able to use all Microsoft Office applications
- National Diploma in IT/ BSc in IT (Advantageous) ITIL V3 Foundations (Advantageous)
